District Project - WATER H2O

Transformation of Water Bodies - Chitrakulam Pond Project, as part of sub-vertical of District Poject H2O was inaugurated at Changanacherry by DG Dr. Thomas Vavanikunnel on 6th July 2020. The project is collectively undertaken by RC Changanacherry and Changanacherry Municipality. Great initiative by President Rtn. Saju Pottukulam and PDG Scaria Jose Kattoor.

PDG M. Ramaswamy Iyer Passed Away

Born in June 29, 1934, PDG. MPHF M Ramaswamy Iyer is one of the senior and most respected Past District Governors of RI District 3211. Rtn Ramaswamy Iyer after having graduated in Civil Engineering in First Class from TKM Engineering College joined Kerala State Govt. Service in 1955 He is an ardent Free Mason and was instrumental for organizing Lodges in many parts of South India. .PDG. Ramaswamy Iyer is married to Lokanayaki. They have a son, Ramakrishnan and daughter, Meenakshi

336 New members inducted on a single day. World record. Rtn. G Manikantan Nair, Chairman Membership. At a grand Zoom function held on 1st August 2020, 79 clubs inducted as many as 336 new members into Rotary, a world records of sorts. The mastefully organised VIP (Virtual Induction Programme) dubbed "TAKE Off", scaling new heights in membership grouth. From Colombo, Sri Lanka, TRF Trustee Chairman PRIP K> Ravindran addressed the 1000+ odd gathering.

The much awaited District Seminar on WATER eas held a a Zoom meeting on 20TH Sept 2020. Inaugurating, DG Dr. Thomas Vavanikunnel, stressed on the importance of conservation and limited use of water, which is the precious resource on earth today. The Seminar was graced by RIPE Sekhar Mehta, who briefly joined from Kolkota and addressed the 700+ strong gathering with his inspirational words.

District Seminar on Women Empowerment - OVERCOMING CHALLENGES, was held virtually on Sunday, December 12th, 2020. On the Occasion, RIPN Jennifer E Jones was the Chief Guest. Renowned Film Actress, Mamtha Mohandas, Founder, Jyothirgamaya Foundation, Ms. Tiffany Brar and Naari Sakthi Puraskar Awardee Smt. Kaarthyayani Amma graced the seminar with their talks. The Seminar under the leadership of DG Vavanikunnel, Dist. Adviser, Rtn. Parvathy Reghunath and Dist. Chair Tessy Kurian, went extremely well.
